Baby Registry via Amazon

It was rainy this morning so the kids and I were stuck inside most of the day. We played with Legos, painted, and there was A LOT of arguing. I couldn’t wait for nap time! Have you ever been there? This Mama is short on patience these days as my belly expands. I’m also anemic so that has added to my exhaustion. After nap time things got better. I took the boys on a walk and let them play in the puddles while Daddy had sister out on a walk (they went exploring and found a new place to play in the water).

Anyway…Since it was a dreary day, I was trying to figure out what I would write about today. As I get closer and closer to my due date, I thought, why not do a post on an Amazon Baby Registry and some of my favorite products? You can start your Amazon Baby Registry by clicking the following link: Shop Amazon – Create an Amazon Baby Registry I love the Amazon registry because at the time I registered, I was able to receive a Welcome Box that was packed with some awesome goodies for baby! As a disclaimer, I may make a commission if you select a link in this post and purchase a product or sign up for a registry at no extra cost to you. Please keep in mind that at the time you click on a link, a product may be out of stock or may have been removed. These are my favorites based on my experience. Your experience may be different and a product I love, you or your baby may not love. Every child and parent is different.

Bottles: Bottles can be very tricky. Every baby is different. I like the following bottles because they were successful with all of my babes. I know that not every Mom I have talked with has had success with the same bottles. As mentioned above, every baby is different. After trying what felt like a million bottles with my first little, we finally settled on the Lansinoh mOmma bottle with NaturalWave Nipple. My babes also liked the Kiinde bottles that you can pump straight into and put the nipple on and they are also great for transitioning to food as they have a top that turns into a spoon or just a spout-think the squeezy pouches. Just fill and go! I would recommend the starter pack Kiinde Twist Breast Milk Storage Bag Baby Feeding System and Warmer Gift Set, New Mom Gift that comes with the bottle warmer because we found these bottles don’t fit into the standard bottle warmers that our daycare has so we had to provide them the warmer. With bottles, you will need a way to clean the bottles. I like these 2 products: OXO Tot Bottle Brush with Nipple Cleaner and Stand, Gray and Munchkin Sponge Bottle Brush, Pack of 2, Blue (come in different colors). I would highly recommend a drying rack to put your bottles on after you have cleaned them. We have the Boon Lawn Countertop Baby Bottle Drying Rack with Stem & Twig Accessories and love it. When we bought it, it didn’t come with the stem and twig accessories.

Breastfeeding: I prefer the Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags, 100 count. Blankets are not recommended while baby is sleeping, but I do like muslin blankets to cover when breastfeeding in public upsimples Baby Swaddle Blanket Unisex Swaddle Wrap Soft Silky Bamboo Muslin Swaddle Blankets Neutral Receiving Blanket for Boys and Girls, Large 47 x 47 inches, Set of 4-Arrow/Feather/Tent/Crisscross or the 5 in 1 nursing scarf Bebe au Lait 5-in-1 Cover – Infinity Scarf, Car Seat Cover, Shopping Cart Cover, Carrier Cover and Nursing Cover – Knightsbridge. I like how versatile this scarf is.

Health and hygiene: When you are in the hospital, you receive a lovely bulb suction to suction the mouth and nose of baby. It is great to suction out the mouth if baby is spitting up and having a hard time getting it all out. I am not a fan of using it in the nose though. That’s just me. I love the Baby Nasal Aspirator NoseFrida the Snotsucker with 20 Extra Hygiene Filters by Frida Baby. As a side note, when our 3rd baby had to go to the local children’s hospital and was in the PICU (pediatric ICU) they gave us a similar contraption to suction his nose! Must be legit, RIGHT?!!? Seriously, I LOVE the NoseFrida. One of my favorite grooming/health kits is this: Safety 1st Nursery Care Health & Grooming Kit, Pyramids Aqua, One Size. It comes with quite a bit of stuff for the price and worked well for us. I like that it has a thermometer included as well. You might check with your pediatrician to see how they recommend taking baby’s temperature. For bathing, I like the following: Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Baby Head To Toe Wash And Shampoo (12-ounces), Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Bath with Relaxing Lavender & Vanilla Scents, Hypoallergenic & Tear-Free Formula, Paraben- & Phthalate-Free, 18 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), and The Honest Company 2-Piece Dreamy Lavender Shampoo + Body Wash (10 fl. oz) & Face + Body Lotion (8.5 fl. oz.) Bundle Tear Free Naturally Derived Ingredients Sulfate & Paraben Free Baby Bath.

Diapering: If you will be using disposable diapers, here are my favorites- Diapers Newborn/Size 1 (8-14 lb), 198 Count – Pampers Swaddlers Disposable Baby Diapers, ONE MONTH SUPPLY, Huggies Snug & Dry Baby Diapers, Size 5, 156 Ct, One Month Supply, and The Honest Company Club Box – Size 1 – Pandas & Safari Print with TrueAbsorb Technology Plant-Derived Materials Hypoallergenic 80 Count (several different prints available). For wipes, I’m not too picky but I do prefer Huggies Natural Care Sensitive Baby Wipes, Unscented, 3 Refill Packs (624 Wipes Total). They hold up better in our wipe warmer. I also prefer Desitin Maximum Strength for diaper rashes. We have tried several and this has seemed to work the best for us. If we will be in the car for a while or visiting someone, I like to bring Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Dispenser, Colors May Vary to put poopy diapers in so I don’t smell up the car or someone else’s house! We have used 2 different diaper pails: Playtex Diaper Genie and the Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail. They have upgraded the Munchkin diaper pail since we got ours, so I cannot attest to the newer version, but if it is as good as the old one it works well.

Sleeping: I am a fan of the sleep sacks! I don’t know if you can go wrong in picking a specific brand for sleep sacks. This link is to pink ones, but you can get them in different colors and patterns: SwaddleMe Original Swaddle,Girly Bug Small (0-3 Months), Pack of 3. Be sure to get different sizes as baby grows and also remember that the use of swaddle blankets are not recommended once baby can roll over. It is also not recommended for baby to have anything in the crib with him-no blankets, toys, or anything that could easily cover baby’s face. I prefer to put my babes in footed onesies for sleeping Gerber Baby Boys’ 4 Pack Sleep N’ Play Footie, Star, Newborn. Mattresses are an important pick as well. I also recommend a waterproof crib sheet (really 2 in case baby leaks or has some type of accident during the night) or you could opt for a waterproof mattress. I prefer a mattress that has a side for infants and a side for toddlers so you can use it as baby grows.

Activity time: When baby is awake, there are a few things I like. I have been lucky that all of my kiddos so far have loved their swing. We have had the and used the following for our first 3 babes: Fisher-Price Sweet Snugapuppy Dreams Cradle ‘n Swing. For tummy time Fisher-Price Perfect Sense Deluxe Gym, Plush Infant Play Mat with Toys. Most physical therapists and occupational therapists do not recommend the use of exersaucers because they can delay development of some skills so this will be a choice you need to make based on your baby and your feelings. As for bouncers, we have used this one Fisher-Price Sweet Snugapuppy Dreams Deluxe Bouncer but I’m really interested in this one Fisher-Price Infant-to-Toddler Rocker – Pacific Pebble, Portable Baby Seat, Multi. I like to take my babes outside and like to use this Graco Pack ‘n Play Reversible Napper & Changer Playard LX, Boden for going outside or if I need to have baby close by while I cook dinner (baby outside of the kitchen). It is also a great thing to have when travelling. You don’t have to worry if the person you are staying with has a sleeping space for babe, you have the Pack n Play.

Safety: As baby grows there will be certain safety items you will need in your home. We have used the following items: Safety 1st Safety Essentials Kit, Safety 1st Magnetic Locking System (1 Key and 8 Locks), Door Knob Covers – 4 Pack – Child Safety Cover – Child Proof Doors by Jool Baby, and most importantly outlet covers. We have used several different brands and all are about the same. We have also used several different brands of baby gates and again have had the same amount of success with each brand.

These are just a few of my favorites and some of the things I think are basics when signing up for a registry or thinking about buying for a friend having a baby. I hope this is helpful for you!
