Holiday Gift Guide For ages 6 and under, Part 2!

Man, I just didn’t realize how many things there are for those 6 and under! Let’s get right back into gift ideas! I will also say that while I am suggesting these as holiday gifts, they can also be great for birthdays or just because! Just as a reminder, the links will take you to Amazon. If you click on the link and make a purchase, I will make a commission at no additional charge to you! See Disclaimer page for more details!

Let’s start with some toys that are fun but are also teaching the kiddos! I love toys that do double duty! This one is iPad based. While I’m not a huge fan of my kids being on devices, a little time on them won’t hurt but it does need to be limited. My older 2 are on devices way too much right now with school being virtually based. Even if they were in person, everything is still done on the iPad. But if yours aren’t spending much time on the iPad or you just want a learning game for the iPad instead of just videos, here is this learning game! Osmo – Little Genius Starter Kit for iPad – Ages 3-5. A favorite in our house is the Magformers Basic Set (62-pieces) Magnetic Building Blocks. My kiddos LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Magformers. They are pricey, but we have HOURS of fun with them and the kids love showing me the different ways they can put them together! My kids also love Science experiments! Amazon carries some awesome National Geographic science kits! With this kit you can grow your own crystals! NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Earth Science Kit. Mix Science and Magic together with this kit! NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Science Magic Kit. My love were gifted this kit, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Mega Gemstone Dig Kit, and oh my goodness I cannot even tell you how much they loved it! They were also gifted this: Dig a Dozen Dino Eggs Dig Kit. They were allowed to do 1 dinosaur egg a day! They loved it too!

Is crafting, art, or DIY more what you are looking for? Amazon has that too! Take a look at this! Crayola Inspiration Art Case in Pink, Coloring Set. My daughter loves the Scratch Paper Art Set, 50 Piece Rainbow Magic Scratch Paper. If you have been following me long, you know we love to hunt for painted rocks and my daughter loves to paint rocks. Amazon has a kit for that! Creativity for Kids Hide & Seek Rock Painting – Includes Rocks & Waterproof Paint. We like to seal our rocks with a sealer that is UV resistant like this: Krylon K01305 Gallery Series. We love Christmas year round in our home so the kids love to decorate Christmas no matter the time of year! That makes DIY Foam Christmas Trees the perfect gift for them! Of course you can always do construction paper crafts! My daughter had some of the Crayola Scribble Scrubbie Safari Animals Tub Set. She loves coloring them and then washing the color off and doing it all again! My daughter also loves doing sand art. Depending on the age of your kiddo, this might be a craft to do! Creative Kids DIY Super Sand Art and Crafts Activity Kit.

Some other toys that I think are good gifts are: Play-Doh Modeling Compound 10 Pack (we don’t have it in our house because I have Celiac’s and Play-Doh is made from wheat), Baby Alive, the Lite-Brite (man did I love the Lite-Bright), LINCOLN LOGS, and of course LEGO Classic Medium Creative Brick Box. Let’s not forget Hot Wheels. There’s also Barbie Signature 2020 Holiday Barbie. Man, 2020 didn’t bother Barbie! Shouldn’t she look a little more frazzled or something?!!?

My kids enjoy books and I love reading to them! My kids LOVE pretty much any Pete the Cat book. Some of their favorites are: Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons, Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes, and Pete the Kitty and the Groovy Playdate (Pete the Cat). There are also level 1 readers such as Pete the Cat Goes Camping (I Can Read Level 1), Pete the Cat and the Cool Caterpillar (I Can Read Level 1), Around the World with Peppa (Peppa Pig: Scholastic Reader, Level 1), Old, New, Red, Blue! (Cars movie tie in), and Five Puptacular Tales! (PAW Patrol) (Step into Reading). Other books are: Little Blue Truck’s Christmas, LeapFrog 100 Words and 100 Animals Book Set (great for younger kiddos! It is a touch book and it says the words and you can pick English or Spanish. It teaches both!), If Animals Kissed Good Night, Polar Express, and Construction Site on Christmas Night (my oldest boy loves the Construction Site books). If you have younger kiddos board books may be the way to go! Here are just a few Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (Board Book), The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Baby University Complete “for Babies” Board Book Set.
